The Hiker (A Self-Portrait)

The hiker finds the waterfall. Can you find the hiker before he falls? He is located in a public forest somewhere within 10 miles of Oneonta, NY. He is made of all natural materials found on site and he is held together by nothing except gravity. Left alone, in a stable environment, he would probably stay standing forever. But he was created in a harsh environment without permission so he may not last. The managers of the property may find and destroy him and so might a random hiker or rising flood waters from the creek or a powerful wind blowing through the forest. He could survive the Winter and thrive all next summer. Or he could be history by the weekend. What do you think? How long will he last? If you live near Oneonta, perhaps you could find him before he falls.
