Let There Be Light
Shining out in the darkness
Let there be Hope
In a world of despair
Let there be Wonder
In the face of confusion
Let there be Laughter
Filling the air…
Following in the ancient traditions of the Maya and the Inca and the Egyptian and the Khmer, I believe that natural sunlight is an important element to utilize in my impermanent stonework creations. As such, I frequently incorporate windows or portals through stone that are situated to capture sunlight at certain times of the year. The place where Stoney Rocks is evolving is lightly forested with dappled sunlight that changes a lot with the varying leaf cover. But I now know, more or less, the pattern of those changing light beams and it is fun to create stone receptacles for capturing them. This Exhibit will contain photos and videos of some of my favorite stone and light combinations. A few photos here in the outer lobby for everyone. But most of the exhibit is only available to subscribers.
